Reception and Nursery have made a busy start to the Autumn term and have settled so quickly into nursery and school life. They have enjoyed exploring the story of Apollo the Swallow as part of our study of the painting 'Flight of the Swallows' by John Lorimer. They have explored why swallows fly away to warmer climates for our winter and have been busy in our bird hide spotting other birds such as robins and blackbirds.
They have explored shape over the last couple of weeks and contributed as part of a whole school project to create a tessellated pattern based on the work of Escher.
Over the next few weeks the children will be exploring animals through role play in our vets and through stories and poems, comparing and contrasting their features.
